Carhartt Detroit Jacket

The Detroit Jacket in hamilton brown from Carhartt is made from 12oz 100% cotton Dearborn canvas which provides a super durable and water repellent finish. Showing the progressive nature of the WIP brand, the pointed collar neckline has a matching corduroy outer which adds texture against the smooth body and sleeves. A golden two-way zip sits below and a chest pocket has been added on the left side with a square woven Carhartt label underneath, two additional diagonal welt pockets can be found either size of the zip. A soft polyester/wool/acrylic blanket lining has been added throughout the body and the sleeves are lined with nylon, which increases warmth and comfort further.

Triple stitched seam construction has been used throughout - which rings true with Carhartt’s extensive history in designing industrial strength workwear - alongside personalised snap buttons on the cuffs and middle front slider. Put this style to the test through outdoor pursuits or layer for a classic, everyday streetwear look. Established in 1889 in Detroit, the brands WIP status has a reputable history throughout industrial workwear clothing, which gained popularity on city streets in the 1980’s and 1990’s.
